micro unit 3.2:
bolt mounting station

In this micro unit you can learn, how the bolt mounting station works at the Ysao smart mini factory. Please find the picture about the structure of the bolt mounting station by using the following link

Stopper cylinder stops a platform, when a magnet M1 activates it. Pressing cylinder presses the bolt to the product, if there is a bolt been chosen in the webshop order. Otherwise the sopping cylinder won’t be activated, Magazine occypancy sensor activates the reversing for conveyor, if the bolt magazine is empty. Sensor B1 stops the conveyor in this case.

The Siemens S7 1200 logic unit controls the bolt mounting station. The cylinders of the station are driven by compressed air. In the event of a failure or when the magazine is empty, it is possible to receive an alarm message on a mobile phone via the IMS Factory application, when the mobile phone is connected to the same Wifi network as the Siemens S7 1200 logic unit.

See diagrams of the pneumatic system of the bolt fixing station. You can do this in your own classroom using components from, for example, the Festo training system. Test the system and make a better control system for it. S1 and S2 are manual pushbuttons, so they are a bit tedious to use in the long run. Try to automate this system using relays, logic controllers, sensors B4, B5 and B6. Use the material on this page as a source, but you can also use other material. For example, you can use logic controllers from Festo, Unitronics or Siemens. To start with, make an automation system using relays. Then make an automation system using a logic controller. Take a picture of the system and the program and show it to your teacher.
