Ylä-Savo Vocational College is maintained by Municipal Federation of Education in Ylä-Savo employing over 200 professionals and other staff. Municipal Federation of Education is established in 1962 and it’s owned by six counties of Ylä-Savo. It organizes upper vocational training and education, including adult vocational education and apprenticeship training. Ylä-Savo Vocational College is a multi-disciplinary vocational institution. We have three main fields of vocational education and training and we offer education and training for over 40 vocational qualifications, including further vocational qualifications and specialist vocational qualifications. Total amount of students is about 4000 students per year. Municipal Federation of Education in Ylä-Savo has a large role in developing the co-operation between education and business life in Ylä-Savo. One of the emphases is to further develop the quality of training, including improving the competence of the teachers and similarity of curriculum and the needs of business and industry.

Savonia UAS (SUAS) is one of Finland’s biggest and most versatile Universities of Applied Sciences. Its campuses are located in the cities of Kuopio, Iisalmi and Varkaus hosting over 6000 Finnish students, 400 international students and 600 employees. It is a multidisciplinary institution of Higher Education, offering approximately 30 Bachelor level degree programs in 6 different fields of studies and Master programs in Technology, Tourism and Business and Health Care.
Operations also include adult education, research & development, and innovation activities. Savonia was the first Finnish
Higher Education Institution to receive the “Recognized for Excellence R4E” award, which is also internationally acknowledged and belongs to the EFQM Excellence Model. Savonia won this award for the second time in a row. The University has also been rewarded twice by the Finnish Entrepreneurship and Innovation Network for Higher Education.
SUAS serves and supports the surrounding work life activity and industries. Our R&D activities offer high-quality servicesand tailor-made solutions to the development needs of the businesses and work communities. Co-operation, networking, and internationalization are the key factors of our success. In Savonia, trans disciplinarity is secured by organizing RDI into main axes called Competence Networks. These networks are Welfare products and Services, Energy, the Environment, Safety and Industrial Design. Quality and the consideration for quality are the responsibility of all in SUAS
All the functions and employees of SUAS are committed to high quality work. Quality assurance is a priority for the whole organization – it is a common objective and part of the working culture. Quality control is based on SUASs comprehensive perspectives of quality management.

Carl-Benz-Schule Gaggenau

The CBS is an industrial-technical vocational school in the southwest of Germany. The vocational focus is on metal technology, automotive technology and mechatronics. Currently, about 1000 students study at the school. About 60 teachers accompany the learners here in vocational preparation courses, in the vocational school, in the vocational college as well as in the technical college. The school is equipped with modern laboratories such as the Learning Factory 4.0 or the high-voltage laboratory. The aim of the school is to develop competencies in preparation for the present and future world of life and work. Of particular importance to the CBS is the project-based action orientation combined with openness to innovation and new technologies – and this as a partner in cooperative collaboration with local companies as well as with other partners and institutions internationally. Thus, the school has been conducting Erasmus and other non-European activities abroad for almost 20 years and is constantly striving to expand and deepen these. With the VLEFACTORY project and the European joint development of learning materials, the opportunity arose to achieve such an expansion.

Mercantec is a technical school located in Viborg, Denmark. The school offers programs aimed at preparing students for a variety of professions, including mechanics, electricians, IT technicians, trade education, and many other technical and craftsmanship areas. 

The school has modern facilities designed to provide students with hands-on skills and knowledge in their chosen fields. This may include laboratories, workshops, and IT equipment. 

Mercantec offers various levels of education, including vocational education, business academy programs, and continuing education. There are also options for taking individual courses and professional development. 

The school often has close ties to local and national businesses, providing opportunities for internships and collaborative projects. This allows students to gain practical experience and build industry networks. Students who complete their education at Mercantec have good opportunities to find employment in their chosen field, as the school aims to equip them with relevant skills and knowledge.
